Danny is a fifth generation Atlantan, on both his Mother and Father's side, with his mother's family going back to the mid 1800's in Gwinnett County. He presently lives in Duluth with his wife, Linda.
He is a graduate of Georgia Tech where he earned a B. S. in Civil Engineering. He is also a Professional Engineer (Registered in the state of Illinois 1979-1987). Storey joined Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. (CBI) immediately after graduating from Tech. His career with CBI spanned 18 years with the first 5 years in Nuclear Power Plant construction working on both units of the E. I. Hatch Nuclear Power Plant in South Georgia. His last 5 years with CBI were spent heading up CBI's two Brazialian subsideraries. While working for CBI in Brazil his knowledge of both the Spanish and Portuguese languages gave him the opportunity to be an active member of the Campinas, Chamber of Commerce and the opportunity to serve on the Escola Americana De Campinas school board.
Since returning to Gwinnett County in 1987, he has been involved with the construction of over 250 luxury homes in Atlanta's most exclusive and prestigious communities, including Sugarloaf County Club and The River Club in Gwinnett County. He is presently the owner of Storey Residential Properties, Inc. and Storey Signature Homes, Inc., both high-end home building companies. His building companies have won several of the Atlanta Home Builder's Association's Professionalism Awards, including two awards last year in the $1,000,000 to $2,500,000 price range. Storey Residential Properties was voted one of the best Home Builders in Gwinnett County last year by the readers of the Gwinnett Magazine.
In January of 2006, Danny and his daughter, Kipley, opened Storey Morrow Company, a full service real estate brokerage firm that specializes in real estate sales, corporate relocation, and REO/foreclosures.
Both Danny and Linda are active in community service clubs and charities. Danny has been Director of International Services for the Gwinnett County Rotary for three years, presently serving on the Advisory Board of Gwinnett Tech's Residential Construction Management Program, and is a Member of the Chairman's Club of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.
